Heard On: Green Dragon Media

Just to keep you all in the loop, here's the link and info to me on a recent podcast. As always, I'm honored to even be played let alone mentioned.

Green Dragon Media

Episode 509 - The Special Kid Is You
Episode 510 - Lights in my Head

I left a comment as well just to show my sincere gratitude...

Just stopping by to say you've got a great show here, great line up of tracks, great enthusiasm and spirit. And thanks for playing my stuff, it means a lot to me.

Love and Ciao,

Trevor "Black Adam" Hohenthaner.

Five New Tracks

It's finally nice to have a more direct connection with you being that the NEWS link goes right to this blog, and it's great too because I'm into my own musical madness right now... too lazy to find the source file on my own hard drive so I resort to my MUSIC page instead.

Still pissed at myself though. If you're like me, always always ALWAYS make sure you save. Untitled #4 is my most recent slap in the face when I exported the track, but didn't save the source and CLOSED OUT OF THE PROGRAM. I didn't realize the damage I had done until THE NEXT DAY. But whatever, I've got a knack for rebuilding and even making things better than before......... kinda hoping it would be a flop, but my best friend ends up telling me how much he's into it......... damn....... learn from my mistakes, PLEASE.

Untitled #5 is something I had been working on for over a year. I had it done like you hear now for six months, put the finishing touches on it (high-hats flipping between 16 and 32, mastering, on and on and on). I'm finding the synth in the second half of the song a bit blinding, the high hats annoyingly tedious, and the ending cheap... obviously it still needs fixing, but I liked what I had so far and decided to show you all.

Three new tracks as well from the album. No Sunshine, The Special Kid, and Lights in my Head. All are tracks I hold in high regard and expect to be the biggest hits with this new release scheduled probably around the same time as UV's was, though I'll do my best to hurry things along... I know you're all waiting patiently for it, believe me, you're gonna love it.

A very very dear friend of mine and my father's will be the first to broadcast No Sunshine officially, afterwards the rest of the world. Ahhh, I remember the first time I met the guy, I was a shy and young Black Adam, too nervous about everything to say much of anything (and whatever was said by me was downright unintentionally mean). I remember how much of a twat I made of myself on High Potency, the first and only interview for UV's release. But alas, times have changed and I'm more mature and no longer a nervous little teenager. It's the new me, which I guess means in return a more mature Black Adam. If you're interested in interviewing a weird guy who makes decent music, let me know........... oh, and because I know he'll bitch slap me later, my friend's name is Les and you can check out his kick ass show at http://www.zaldor.com/. As far as High Potency, THEIR kick ass show can be found at http://hpmpodcast.libsyn.com/. I'm looking at their logs and they've seem to have slowed down in new posts for quite a while. But whatever, they're all funny guys, good people too. Nice little setup in the garage.

Oh, and hey, feedback is much appreciated on those new tracks I posted. Tell me which one you liked, hated, which one needs adjusting, which one needs to be thrown to the ground, brutally being kicked and stomped upon until something prettier is made.

Until then, more news and news comes.

Love and Ciao,

Trevor "Black Adam" Hohenthaner.

Still Looking For That LPS Sound

I completely forgot about a Christmas music track and eventually lost interest like I do with a lot of stuff. I keep writing short little stories that never seem to be "the shit". I can only hope that my future musical work will not be viewed as such.

Finished off a new piano track. Having problems with making a definitive sound for LPS. I don't know, thinks just aren't working out like I thought. At times I strive for a Tori Amos - Mr. Zebra while at other times I want a Ben Folds - Gone kind of thing. I can never find a decent center point. It doesn't quite help when your pre-recorded piano samples aren't recorded to your specific liking.

Damn.

A Christmas Track

Well, it's a dry spell for LPS, but not for Black Adam. I've finished off new ideas for BA3. Very nice stuff, very new and interesting.

I'm in the middle of developing a Christmas track because my youngest sister told me to.

Love,

Trevor.
